About Cranston Engineering
Our Story
Cranston Engineering is a CNC machining and manufacturing firm operating out of Palmerston North. We’re a Kiwi company with a New Zealand focus but with a multinational cliental. We serve customers from all over the country and abroad.
We’ve been operating for over four decades, growing from a small local outfit to a state-of-the-art, high tech engineering workshop. Cranston Engineering was established in 1984 with just two manual lathes. Bevan Clarke joined in 1996 and brought his passion for CNC design and machining to the company. In 2006, Bevan and wife Katrina bought into Cranston’s with a mission to take the company forward into the future.
The firm has since invested significantly into the most advanced CNC mills, lathes, robots, and software on the market. Cranston Engineering now offers a full manufacturing service, able to create any component from any material, taking your ideas from design and prototyping to full-scale production, whether for small runs or by the thousands.
